The studies we do, and the research we make readable, is only possible thanks to the generous support of charities, donations and fundraisers across the UK and around the world.
We think it’s important to recognise their contribution as without their incredible efforts, the discoveries that make a difference which we share on Readable Research could go undiscovered.
One group supporting research into MND through fashion is EndMND. Through designing, creating and selling clothing, they raise awareness and funds for the MND Association – one of the biggest funders of our vital research.
It was set up and is run by Joe who writes for Readable Research about his work, why it matters, and how he’d love your support:
Introducing EndMND:
Fighting Motor Neurone Disease through Fashion

By Joe Linsky,
Founder of EndMND
In envisioning a world where fashion becomes a powerful weapon against one of the most devastating diseases of our time, I, Joe, the founder of EndMND, embarked on a journey to fight Motor Neurone Disease (MND) through the incredible medium of fashion.
EndMND is not just another clothing brand; it’s my passion project, a movement, a force of change, and a beacon of hope for those affected by MND. My mission is crystal clear: to raise awareness about MND and generate funds for research and support by donating all profits to the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA).
What truly sets EndMND apart is our unique approach to battling MND. By seamlessly blending the realms of fashion and philanthropy, we’ve created a platform where creativity meets purpose. Through our eye-catching designs and powerful messaging, EndMND garments serve as a medium to spread awareness about MND while making a bold statement.

One of our most notable collaborations was with the renowned TV presenter, Dan Walker. I’m also thrilled to share that we have a planned collaboration with Rob and Lindsey Burrow, a significant milestone given the couple’s personal connection to the disease. Rob Burrow, a former Leeds Rhinos player and MND patient, has been vocal about his battle with the condition.
Since our launch, EndMND has experienced remarkable success, both in terms of revenue generated and the positive impact we’ve made. With a dedicated team of interns working across various departments, we’ve managed to create a strong presence in the fashion market, all while staying true to our mission. The revenue and profit generated by EndMND have been substantial, allowing us to contribute significantly to the ongoing fight against MND.
But what truly inspires and drives EndMND is the stories of individuals affected by MND. We draw inspiration from their courage, resilience, and determination to overcome the challenges posed by the disease.
Our commitment goes beyond just raising funds; we aim to ignite conversations, challenge perceptions, and break down barriers associated with MND. By wearing an EndMND garment, individuals not only support the cause but also become ambassadors for change, helping to spread awareness and understanding about MND in their communities.
In conclusion, EndMND is not just a clothing brand for me; it’s my purpose. Through our unique combination of fashion, philanthropy, and awareness, we’ve created a platform that is making a genuine difference in the fight against MND. Our dedication to donating all profits to the MNDA, our powerful designs, and our collaborations with influential figures have propelled us to the forefront of the battle against MND. So, join the movement, wear the cause, and be a part of the change with EndMND
