Parkinson’s Artwork

Helen is a retired GP of 30 years who is living with Parkinson’s, is actively involved in patient and public involvement about the Disease, and raises money for Parkinson’s UK through her artwork.

Her artwork is created with acrylic pens and oils, and she has given us her comments on the artwork to help your understanding of her pieces.

‘Legoman’

“Believe it or not it is my parkie self..I was looking in a window and there, was a legoman robot like bent..and I was screaming. I suddenly realised I had Parkinson’s disease looking in the window.”

“This wasn’t me anymore, she was made of bricks, bent double, staring immobile, more Robot”
